Walter was born Oct 31, 1931 in Sayre, OK to Homer and Ella Terry. He was raised in Sayre and Shamrock.
Survivors include his wife Lillian Terry of Amarillo; four sons: Eddie Terry, Alan Terry and Rocky Terry all of Amarillo and Stacy Terry of Pampa; 15 grandchildren; and a g-grandchild.
The family will receive guests from 6-8 pm today at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials be to the Adult Literacy Council of Amarillo.
