Mrs. Tonya Gail Manley Jordan, age 45, of Toccoa, passed away Thursday, October 30, 2014 at Athens Regional Medical Center.
Born March 23, 1969 in Hartwell, GA, she was a daughter of Gail Byrum Manley and the late Herschel Wayne "Charles" Manley.
She was of the Baptist Faith, enjoyed the outdoors, and was employed with the United States Postal Service and Milliken Avalon Plant. Tonya loved her family and had a special love for her grandson, Reese Jordan.
Family members include her mother, Gail Byrum Manley; her husband, Steven "Shorty" Jordan; children, Jonathan Jordan, Abby Jordan, Matthew Sellers, and Cassidy Gordon of the home; one grandson, Reese Jordan; brothers, Hershel Manley of Lavonia, and Wayne and sister-in-law Tanya Manley of Toccoa; father and mother-in-law, Troy and Janet Jordan of Toccoa; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Sheila Jordan, Cheryl Rahman, Sonny Rahman, and Bryan and Paula Jordan; nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at three o'clock Sunday, November 2, 2014 from the Chapel of Whitlock Mortuary with the Rev. Ken Jackson and the Rev. Harris Pressley officiating.
Burial will follow at Rock Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers; Roger Collins, Michael Koppin, Randall Jordan, Evan Whiten, Symon Clouatre, and Travis Jordan. Employees of the Toccoa Post Office will serve as honorary pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at the mortuary from 6pm – 8pm Saturday, November 1, 2014. The family will be at the home of her brother, Wayne Manley.
