Emil Jay Madsen, 25, died Monday in a Salt Lake hospital of nephritis.
Born March 18, 1933, Mt. Pleasant, to Jorgen P. and Johanne Thomsen Madsen. Married Mary Wright Oct. 2, 1953, Mt. Pleasant. Served with U.S. Army in Korea, cited for developing new holding mechanism for artillery pieces. Worked at Tooele Ordinance Depot, moved back to Mt. Pleasant in May, 1953. Member church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Survivors; widow; daughter, Vickie Lynne, Parents; sister, brothers, Mrs. Elaine Brown, Ralph, all Mt. Pleasant; Earl, Nephi; grandparents, Mrs. Nephi Christensen, Midvale; Mr. and Mrs. Emil Thomson, Salt Lake City.
