Linda Jo Blue Davenport, 63, formerly of Rochester, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2015 in Fargo, North Dakota, due to complications from lung cancer.
Born on March 4, 1951 in Miami County, she was the daughter of the late Robert Lee and Marjorie Joan Polk Blue.
Linda was a 1969 graduate of Maconaquah High School before going on to college to obtain her bachelor and master of science degrees in education. Linda was a devoted Christian, giving her time and talents to various congregations over the years in the communities where she was living. Linda was a talented needlepoint artist, creating many treasures for her family, friends, and churches.
She leaves behind three children to cherish her memory: Joseph Davenport and his wife Jacquelyn, Harwood, North Dakota; Jessie Davenport, Fargo, North Dakota; and Jodie Davenport, Tempe, Arizona; two grandchildren, Kaily and Kaiden Davenport, Harwood, North Dakota; and one brother, Gregory Alan Blue and his wife Teresa, Fifield, Wisconsin.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2015 at McClain Funeral Home, Denver, Indiana, with Pastor Mark Spencer officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Peru, Indiana.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
