King Wheeler Allen was the son of Pollard Egan Allen (aka Pollock Edan Allen) and Polly Evans Allen. He was born in Pittsylvania Co Va. He was married first to Betty Meeks who was born 1879 in Pittsylvania Co Va. The family moved to Mecklenberg Co Va and then into Vance Co NC.
In 1961 He married Lillie Farmer.
"Preacher Allen" as he was called ,played the banjo claw hammer style. He was a well known in the neighborhood where he lived.
