He was a self-employed truck driver and a member of the Freedom Missionary Baptist Church. He enjoyed flea markets, yard sales, auctions, and morning coffee at McDonalds with his friends.
Dewey is survived by one son David (Sheila) Jones of Richmond, one granddaughter Heather (Luke) Jones-Rose of London, Kentucky, two great grandchildren Lane Mowery and Alexis Rose, and his very special friend Mike Mitchell.
His wife of 57 years Velma died October 1, 2011, one son Steven Jones died May 5, 2013; his parents, seven brothers Willie, Zear, Walter, Roy, Homer, Nathan Jr., and Robert Jones, and two sisters Louisa Mullins and Mary Jones-Boshers are also deceased.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Wednesday January 28, 2015 at Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home with Rev. Lynn Seagraves officiating. Burial will be in Earlham Cemetery. Friends may call 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
