Geanema Seale Mickelborough, a homemaker and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2000, a time she happily looked forward to. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She was 88, a recent resident of Meridian, Miss., and a former longtime resident of Port Sulphur, Center, Texas, and Gonzales. She was born in Leon County, Texas, in the small community of Red Lands, and was a member of First Baptist Church, Gonzales.
Visiting at Welsh Funeral Home, Gonzales, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. until religious services at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, with the Rev. Raymond Wade officiating. Interment in Hope Haven Cemetery.
Survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Ramona and Bob Gehman, Meridian; two sons and daughters-in-law, Wayne and Martha Mickelborough, Vivian, and Gene and Linda Mickelborough, Gonzales; two brothers, J.W. Seale, Houston, and D.T. Seale, Des Moines, Iowa; eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Mickelborough; parents, Mack Wyatt and Mary Anna Waggoner Seale; three sisters, Iva Spear, Winnie Wigley and Katie Seale; and a brother, Marvin Seale.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and grandsons-in-law.
