Mr Buck was the son of the late William David and Ada Ray Hoss Buck. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six sisters and two brothers.

His wife, Dolly Moore Buck died March 11, 2012.

Mr. Buck was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, having served in the U.S. Army.

He was a member of the Roan Mountain Lodge No. 566 F.&A.M., a 32nd Degree Mason and member of the Roan Mountain Water Commission.

Mr. Buck retired from Johnson Motor Line, Charlotte, N.C., and was a retired teamster.

The funeral service for Mr. Buck will be conducted at 8 p.m. Monday, November 21, 2005 in the Rhododendron Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Home, Roan Mountain.

The graveside service and interment will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 22, 2005 at Happy Valley Memorial Park.
