72, passed away at his residence, with his loving family by his side.

Born to the late Thomas Jefferson and the late Margaret Virginia (White) Hoover.

Joseph enjoyed politics, socializing, coin collecting, shooting guns, boating, fishing, crabbing, swords, and the Medieval Era. An animal lover and very active outdoors.

In addition to his parents, Joseph was predeceased by his beloved wife, Mary Elizabeth (Johnson); brother, the late Glen Hoover; and sister, the late Linda Hickey.

Survived by his sons, Chuck Davis (April), Ricky Davis (Jean); daughter, Leighann Hobbs (James); brother, Woody Hoover; nine grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.

Family and friends will be received for Joseph's Life Celebration on Friday, July 18th, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Road, Charlotte Hall, MD 20622.

A Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, July 19th, at 10:00 a.m.

Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Gardens, 3221 Mattawoman-Beantown Road, Waldorf, MD 20601.
