Dessalee Rousselle, of Seward passed away at her residence in Seward at the age of 81 years, 2 months and 28 days. Dessalee Ann Rousselle was born to Gustav and Dorothea (Ahrens) Lindner at Seward. She attended country school and graduated from Seward High School. Dessalee was united in marriage to Jack Rousselle on October 6, 1950 at St. John Lutheran Church in Seward. The couple was blessed with two children.


In addition to being a wife and mother of two boys, she spent her life assisting others with her skilled accounting abilities, retiring in 1998. Dessalee was very active in the Seward community; serving on the Seward Fourth of July Celebration Committee; Seward County Historical Society; Seward County Genealogical Society; St. John Lutheran Church Finance Committee; two terms as mayor and served twice as a Seward City Council member. She enjoyed her card clubs; loved athletics, especially Nebraska football; and was proud to be a cheerleader at Seward High.


She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Jack; nephew, Douglas Lindner; sister-in-law, Phyllis Lindner; and a sister, Leora Sells.
