Freddie “Fred” Leon White, 75, of Tecumseh, Oklahoma passed away Saturday, January 24, 2015 in Tecumseh.

He was born on August 14, 1939 to Alfred Ford and Lucille (Burgess) White in Smithville, Oklahoma.

Fred grew up around St. Louis and Seminole, Oklahoma. He attended St. Louis Public Schools. After marriage he moved to Tecumseh where he has resided since.

He married Judith “Judee” Gail Seaton on June 5, 1971 in Parris, Texas.

Fred proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from May 6, 1957 to February 19, 1960 and was honorably discharged.

Fred loved to work and help people. He drove a truck most of his life and owned his own trucking company. After retiring he helped his wife, Judee at TNT Tan & Tone in Seminole where he had nicknames for everyone and enjoyed teasing the clients. He worked the last few years worked in maintenance at the Highland Church of Christ in Tecumseh.

Fred was a member of the Highland Church of Christ in Tecumseh. He loved to get up early and go the coffee shop. Fred loved anything to do with construction, building things or fixing something. He enjoyed restoring motorcycles and took several trips on his bikes. Fred loved his horses and enjoyed having them around and caring for them. He loved the outdoors and being around people. Fred was friendly, easy going and enjoyed giving people a hard time and always made friends everywhere he went. He enjoyed spending time with his family and loved having his grandchildren around. His family was the focal point of his life.

He was preceded in death by his son, Mark White; his parents, Alfred and Lucille White; 3 sisters, Bettie Rosamond-Wilson, Yuvonna Joyce Massingale and Theda Dressel; and brother, Alfred “Junior” White.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, of 43½ years, Judee White of the home; son, Don White of Tecumseh; daughter and son-in-law, Teana and John Smith of Shawnee; 7 grandchildren, Kelby, Kylee, Paige, Kody, Tanner, Brennen and Carter; l great-grandchild, Kasen; 2 brothers, Roger White and Terry White; numerous nieces , nephews and other extended family and friends.

Visitation will begin 12:00 noon, Tuesday, January 27, 2015 and continue through service time. Family gathering to meet with friends will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at Cooper Funeral Home. Service will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with Doyle Loveland and Eric Henson of Tecumseh Highland Church of Christ officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
