Cleon “Lee” was born in Bishop, California to Harold and Esther Walline on February 9, 1924. Cleon was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Harold Walline; sisters, Charlotte Norris and Lois Nordman. He was also preceded in death, in 1972, by his wife, Emma Walline. Lee did not have any children, but was survived by eight nieces and nephews.

Cleon “Lee” served his country in two foreign wars, World War II and the Korean War, and was honorably discharged from the Navy. He was not one to talk about his military service, but he was very proud to have been a U.S. Veteran.

Cleon “Lee” lived in Citrus Heights for 50 years, and was an active member of Arcade Baptist Church, until his failing health made it impossible for him to attend church. He had a strong faith in the Lord that love never failed.

After retirement Cleon enjoyed traveling and seeing new places. He had said his trip to the Holy Lands was one of his favorites. Cleon also enjoyed gardening and working in his yard.

The family would like to thank Steve and Florica Sferdian, at In Loving Hands Care Home for their wonderful, loving care they gave Cleon. In lieu of flowers the family would like donations to be made to The Wounded Warriors Project in Lee’s name, or a charity of your choice.
