Jim, 82, passed away at his home under care of Aspen Home Health & Hospice and his loving family. Jim was born to Stephen Shively and Gladys Evelyn Collins Shively, grew up in Idaho Falls, and graduated from Idaho Falls High School. November 28, 1952, he married Jacqueline "Jackie" Conn in Idaho Falls. To this union were born five children; Bruce, Pam, Marilyn, Susan and Vicky. Jim and Jackie made their home in Mud Lake, where Jim was a farmer and rancher, and enjoyed working on the farm. He enjoyed gardening, wood working, camping, fishing and hunting. Jim was a volunteer for 30 years for West Jefferson fire district and was a longtime member of West Jefferson Lions Club. Survivors beside Jackie included: son Bruce (Rosemary) Shively of Terreton; daughters Pam (Jerry) Tomlinson of Idaho Falls, Marilyn (Brent) Lounsbury of Idaho Falls, Susan (Mike) Egbert of Idaho Falls, and Vicky (Kyle) Clayson of Pleasant Grove, UT; brother Jerry (Ann) Shively of Idaho Falls; brother in-law Clayton (Marcia) Conn of Springville, UT; sister in-law Janice Shively of Terreton; 20 grandchildren; and 35 great grandchildren. Preceding were both parents and his brother Bill. Services held January 27 at Wood East Side at 963 S. Ammon Road, officiated by his son-in-law, Bishop Jerry D. Tomlinson.
