Ermen J. Pallanck, 95, of Union, CT, husband of the late Anna Mae (Goodhall) Pallanck, passed away on Thursday, January 22, 2015 at Johnson Memorial Hospital. He was born in Meriden, CT, son of the late Guido and Jennie (Tonidandel) Pallanck. Ermen kept busy and had various jobs throughout his life. He was a former First Selectman for the Town of Union, a State Representative, U.S. Marshall, and worked for the Parole Board for the State of Connecticut Judiciary system. He was also co-operator of the Atlantic Service Station, and Marion’s Restaurant, and enjoyed the time he spent as a basketball referee. Ermen is survived by his brother-in-law, Albert L. “Albie” Goodhall, Sr. and his wife Madelyn; two sisters-in-law, Lucille Goodhall and Corinne Goodhall; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by four sisters, Lena Begley, Erma Pallanck, Anna Logoyke, and Florence Roberts. A calling hour will be held on Sunday, January 25, 2015 from 12-1 P.M. with a funeral service to take place at 1 P.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow in Union Center Cemetery, Union, CT. Memorial donations may be made to the Union Volunteer Fire Department, 1049 Buckley Highway, Union, CT 06076.
