Lottie Thompson Wood, 75, of Duluth, GA, died September 21, 2004. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 24th, at Winters Chapel Baptist Church. Entombment will follow at Peachtree Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Wood, a native of Bradley Co., TN, graduated from Bradley Central High School in Cleveland, TN and McKenzie Business College in Chattanooga, TN. She retired from the Internal Revenue Service where she worked as an Executive Secretary. She was a member, Sunday school teacher, church secretary, and choir member of Winters Chapel Baptist Church. She was a member of Berkeley Hills Country Club and was an avid gardener who especially loved roses. Mrs. Wood is survived by her husband, Thomas Eddie Wood of Duluth, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Libby Wood of Greensboro, NC; daughter and son-in-law, Marianna and Ken Yates of Chamblee, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Earnest and Mildred Thompson of Palmetto, GA; two sisters and brother-in-law, Marie Sneed of Jackson, GA and Edwyna and Raymond Mitchell of Newnan, GA.
