At exactly 93 1/2 years of age Magdalene "Mac" Marie Arendt, of Luxemburg died early Wednesday morning, Jan. 21, 2015, at home. She was born on July 21, 1921, to the late Louis and Mary (VanLoo) DeGrand in Sugarbush. On Oct. 9, 1940, she married Paul P. Arendt at St. Hubert Church in Sugarbush. They worked the family farm in Luxemburg and raised six children. After retiring, they moved to the Village and she worked at St. Mary Grade School for many years.
Survivors include four daughters and three sons-in-law, Donna (Richard) Jauquet, Lynda (Wayne) Baudhuin, Mary Rubens (special friend, Bill Gould), all of Green Bay; Cyndi (Erik) Lucia, Luxemburg; one son and two daughters-in-law, Eric (Shelley) Arendt, Luxemburg; Karen Arendt- Borchardt, Green Bay; nine grandchildren, Doug (Erin) Jauquet, Dale Jauquet, Jason Baudhuin, Chad (Bliss) Baudhuin, Jacquelyn Baudhuin, Justin (Nitra) Rubens, Jessica (Paul) Solie, Adam and Cody Arendt; seven great-grandchildren, Dawson and Christopher Baudhuin, Claire and Sophia Solie, Cadence, Colson and Charlie Baudhuin; one brother, Joseph DeGrand, Sugarbush; one sister-in-law, Dolores Riedy, Casco; many cousins, nieces and nephews further survive.Mac was preceded in death by her husband, Paul; one son, Glenn Arendt; one great-grandson, Matthew Baudhuin; her siblings, Laura, Irene, Florence, Anna and Harold; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law also have preceded.Friends may call at St. Mary Church, Luxemburg, 3 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 23, 2015. Closing parish prayer service 7 p.m. on Friday.Visitation will continue between 9:30 and 10:45 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 24, 2015, at St. Mary Church, Luxemburg. Funeral 11 a.m. on Saturday with the Rev. Milton Suess officiating. Entombment in the Shrine of Good Shepherd Mausoleum, Green Bay.
