He was born Oct. 9, 1911, in Hopkins County, Ky., to the late Owen and Essie Woodruff McGregor. He was a coal miner and he owned and operated a sawmill. He retired as the sanitation supervisor of Outwood. He was a member of Dawson Springs First Christian Church. He enjoyed woodworking. He was a member of Al E. Orten Masonic Lodge in Dawson Springs.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ermel McGregor, on July 31, 2004; one brother, William McGregor; and one sister, Anita Offner.
He is survived by one sister, Jean Blair of Little Rock, Ark.; and one niece.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs with Dr. Larry Davidson and Joyce Garrett officiating. Burial will be in Rosedale Cemetery in Dawson Springs.
