Mrs. Hugh Kimpson passed away recently at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ernest Parker near Adair. Her body was brought to Grant and funeral services were held in the Methodist Church, Thursday, conducted by Rev. Breeding of Cumberland and interment was in the cemetery here, conducted by the ladies of Grant Circle of which she was a member.

Sarah Elizabeth Priest, daughter of John Priest and Nancy Greene, was born August 21, 1853 in Wapello County, Iowa and died February 24, 1920 in Orient, Adair, Iowa. She married Michael Webster Cross on February 3, 1876 in Ottumwa, Wapello, Iowa. Children: Elvon and Jesse. She married Hugh Kimpson on February 1, 1884 in Montgomery County, Iowa.
