Brandon was the son of Marvin and Lisa (Starr) Butler.

He was a graduate of Barnesville High School, were he was an honor student and played football and ran track. he was a ten year member of the Barnesville Boot Scooters 4-h Club and served on the judging team for four years. He was a member of Barnesville Main St. United Methodist Church, a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon Ottio Lamba Educational Foundation and currently attended Kent State University, where he was pursuing a degree in architecture.

In addition to his parents he leaves his sister, Lacy Butler; maternal grandparents, Dennis and Jeanette (Baker) Starr; paternal grandparents, Vernon and Cinderella (Stephen) Butler; many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Services were held at Kelly-Kemp-Braido Funeral Home, Barnesville, with Pastor Frank Ledvinka and Pastor David Gaydosik officiating.
