Mary A. Maurer
May 5, 1960 – January 21, 2015
Mary A. Maurer, 54 of Monroe died at 3:55 pm Wednesday at University of Michigan Medical Center, Ann Arbor. She had been in poor health for one year.
Family and friends may call from 2 to 8 pm Sunday at the Rupp Funeral Home. She will lie instate Monday 10 am at St. Mary Catholic Church with the Mass of the Resurrection at 11 am. Rev. David Burgard, pastor will officiate with burial to follow at Roselawn Memorial Park, LaSalle.
Born May 5, 1960 in Monroe she was daughter of James R. and Betty J. (Schrader) Maurer.
Mary was employed for more then twenty five years by DTE Energy as a data analyst.
She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church; attended St. Mary’s Grade School and was a 1978 graduate of St. Mary’s Academy. She enjoyed traveling, going up north, spending time with her family, playing board games, euchre and beading.
Surviving are her mother Betty of Monroe; siblings Barbara K. (Gerald) Phillips of Sugar Land, Texas, Joann M. (Robert) St. Pierre of Escanaba, Michigan, Bruce E. Maurer, Michael L. Maurer and Beth M. (Martin) Kamprath all of Monroe; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father James.
