Mr. Rose was born March 30, 1956 in Rocky Mount, NC, the son of the late Romie Vernon and Betty Denton Rose. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving as a Specialist Radio Operator. Mr. Rose worked as a police officer for the Rocky Mount Police Department for 22 years. He and his wife Debi enjoyed so many things together, such as traveling especially on cruises, watching the annual meteor showers, playing chess, talking and laughing together. He loved to snake hunt with his best friend Frank Phelps, play the Wii with his number 1 partner Chanler, and fish. Mr. Rose was a loving and devoted husband, father, son, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Dallas Coleman.
Survivors include his wife Debi Rose Of Oak Island; two sons, Michael Rose and wife Lisa of Clayton, NC and David Rose and fiancé Sheena Rowsey of Bolivia; sister Linda Wells and husband Bobby of Rocky Mount, NC; mother-in-law Alva Coleman of Southport; four grandsons, Chanler, Hayden, Trevor and Hunter; numerous nieces, nephews, as well as great nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Service was held at 7:00 pm Saturday, January 24, 2015 at Peacock-Newnam & White Funeral and Cremation Service. Conducted by Reverend Fred Roberts of Ocean View United Methodist Church
The family received friends from 6:00-7:00 pm at the funeral home.
