MRS. FLORENCE P. THURSTON IS DEAD
Mrs. Florence P. Thurston, 908 West Grand avenue north, died at 10:45 p.m. yesterday at the residence following a lingering illness. She was 76 years old.

A native of Wayne county, Kentucky, Mrs. Thurston came to Springfield about sixteen years ago. She was a member of Elliott Avenue Baptist church.

Surviving are four sons, Covie, Jacksonville; J.L. and Woodson H., both of Springfield; and C.R., Chicago; five daughters, Mrs. Pearlie Mann, Creelsboro, Ky.; Mrs. Sadie Hughes, Glensfort, Ky.; Mrs. Lola Roach, Muncie, Ind.; Mrs. Della Pieper, Jacksonville; and Mrs. Cressie West, Springfield; eighteen grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
