Mr. Loyd was born in Washington County and son of the late Roy (Bohunk) & Sylva Loyd. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Jean Norton Loyd, brother, Sherrill Joe Loyd, sister-in-law, Ruth Loyd and a grandson, Jeremiah McCloud.
He was a member of New Victory United Methodist Church.
Mr. Loyd was a WWII United States Army Veteran.
He was a farmer, logger and cattleman.
Survivors include a sister, Madelyn Peavler, Auburndale, Florida; several nephews and nieces, who have fond memories of Uncle Bob and a host of cousins.
Funeral services will be conducted 7:30 PM Friday, January 23, 2015 at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. Jeremy Dykes and Rev. Garland James officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00-7:30 pm Friday prior to the service.
Interment services will be conducted 11:00 AM Saturday, January 24, 2015 at New Victory Methodist Cemetery.
