Lance Cpl. Moscillo of Salem, N.H., was a 2003 Salem High School graduate and member of the wrestling team and enjoyed staying as active as possible. He was a sports fanatic and kept a decent grade-point average, planning to go to college to become a pastor after his service with the Marines was through. He joined the Marines in 2005, entering boot camp Feb. 14. He had planned to make a career out of the military. Robert liked G.I. Joe action figures as a child; he even dressed up like one for Halloween. His interest in his faith could be seen back to when he was a younger patron of vacation bible school, but it was nurtured with the guidance of the Rev. Dennis Scott of the Community Bible Fellowship Church of the Nazarene in Manchester. There was a time in high school when Moscillo lived with the pastor in Windham. He leaves behind five siblings who range in age from 11 to 23. His brother David, is training to become a Marine. Another brother, Joseph, is a senior at Salem High, sister, Sandra Moscillo, and his mother, Donna Moscillo. His personal awards include the National Defense Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, and Sea Service Deployment Ribbon. He was 21.
