Oliver Hubert Stevens, age 92 of Crawfordsville passed away at home on Monday, May 4, 2020. He was born on March 8, 1928, in Ingles, Kentucky to Jackson & Emma (Floyd) Stevens. Oliver married the love of his life, Imogene Polston, on July 7, 1950, who survives.
He is also survived by two sons, Dan (Patricia) Stevens and Alan (Mary) Stevens, both of Lafayette; a sister, Marie; six grandchildren, Shelena, Mike, Bryan (Brooke), Heather (Myles), Amy (Mike), and Todd; and seven great-grandchildren, Kaylena, Alyssa, Tripp, Dax, Cody, Dalton, and Toby.
Oliver is preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Bonnie, Winnie, and Wanda; and one brother, Hollis.
Throughout the years he worked as a turnkey at the Montgomery County Rotary Jail and retired from
Crawford Industries after 20 plus years. He enjoyed tinkering in the garage working on his Wisconsin Motors and loved spending time with his family.
There will be a visitation at Sanders Priebe Funeral Care, 315 S Washington St in Crawfordsville on Friday, May 8, 2020 from 11:00am till the time of the funeral service at 12:00pm (noon) with Pastor Vernon Dowell officiating. Social distancing is expected and limited numbers will be allowed to enter at a time. The service will be live-streamed and recorded, which can be viewed on Oliver's obituary page at www.sandersfuneralcare.com. Burial will follow at Oak Hill South Cemetery.
