Zephaniah H. JR. was Sheriff of Tishomingo Co, MS. In 1887 the highest point in the state of MS, which is in Tishomingo County, was renamed in honor of Zephaniah as "Woodall Mountain". It was previously known as "Yow Hill" because of the Yow family that lived there.
