Gerald Wempe, 96, of Marysville, KS, died January 21, 2015 at Cambridge Place in Marysville.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m., Sunday, January 25 at Kinsley Mortuary in Marysville.
A rosary service will be held at 7 p.m., Sunday, at St. Gregory’s Catholic Church in Marysville.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, January 26 at St. Gregory’s. Father Jim Shaughnessy will officiate.
Burial will be in St. Gregory’s Catholic Cemetery.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Elsie on June 8, 2011; and siblings, Marcella Lierz, Cleta Harris, Art Wempe, Betty Haug, Mark Wempe and Paul Richard Wempe.
Survivors include his children, Rick (Cecilia) Wempe, and Connie (Michael) Mertes; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and siblings, Elsie Steck, Rosemary (Norman) Luebbe, Sally Smith, Mary Jane (Regis) Rochel, Claire Louise (Jack) Lackey, and Ruth Ann Wanless.
