John W. Franklin, 71, of Rt. 2, Remington, died unexpectedly at 3 p.m. Tuesday in his home.
Mr. Franklin, a retired farmer, was born and reared at Brook. He had resided in the Remington area 31 years.
Surviving is one sister, Miss Coralie M. Franklin of Rt. 2, Remington; seven nieces and one nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents and four sisters.
Friends may call after 3 p.m. Thursday at Weston Funeral Home, Brook. Service there at 1 p.m. Friday, the Rev. August Stark officiating. Burial in Riverside Cemetery, Brook.
