Mr. Jerry V. Poole age 79, of Winnsboro, passed away on Tuesday, January 20, 2014 at his home, with his family by his side. Jerry was born in Wood County on September 14, 1935 to the late J.V. and Maye Taylor Poole. Jerry was a retired oilfield pumper for Atlantic Richfield, a farmer and member of Hepsibah Baptist Church outside Winnsboro. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Mrs. Hila (Horton) Poole of Winnsboro; son, Johnny V. Poole and wife Johnette of Winnsboro; daughter, Julie Friday and husband Tom of Scroggins; brother, Joe William Poole and wife Charlotte of Gilmer; grandchildren, Joshua Vaughn Poole, Kasie Crompton, Jacob Rhett Poole, Amber Friday-Brown, Nathanael Friday, and seven great-grandchildren. Donaions can be made to the Hepsibah Baptist Church Building Fund.
