Terence Earby Storey was born March 12, 1938, in the Smithers Hospital. He was born and raised in the Evelyn community, attending the Evelyn school. He graduated in 1956 from Smithers Secondary. In 1957, he attended youth training school for forestry. Terry and his Dad worked on his Dad’s sawmill and farmed the land together.
Terry married Wally in 1958, and started his farm on the two quarters of land given to him by his granddad. They built a house and started their family. Over the years they bought additional land, cleared and worked the land, raising cattle and kids together.
Over the last 45 years, Terry farmed his land growing quality crops. His passion was ploughing.
In 1987, Terry was hit by a drunk driver, leaving him a different man. They sold the farm in 2002 and Terry reduced his farm to a hobby farm across the highway having a dozen purebred Hereford cows.
Terry loved to drive down the highway, have a cup of coffee with a friend, and attend cattle and bull sales.
Terry was predeceased by parents Laurie and Isabelle and son Mark.
Survived by Wally, Julie and Norbert, Myles, Glen and Michelle, Trina; grandchildren Bradley, Mandi, Kyle, Tawnya, Lyndsy, Connor, Chandler, Ryleigh, Devyn, Isabella; siblings Jim, Barb, Bob; and many nieces and nephews.
