Fremont-Warren "Babe" Carroll Griffin, 62, departed this walk of life Tuesday morning, January 20, 2015 at home.
Babe was born in Wilson County on May 1, 1952 to the late Warren Harding and Annie Medlin Griffin. He attended Stantonsburg Pentecostal Holiness Church and was a member of the Fremont Missionary Baptist Church. He was past president and member of the Fremont Jaycees.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Walston Griffin; two daughters, Tracy Griffin Radford (Robbie) of Goldsboro and Brandi Carroll Griffin Waddell (Jodie) of Pikeville; three grandchildren, AnaGriffin, Adler, and Cohen; two brothers, Walter Ray “Frog” Griffin of Fremont and Gregory Harry Griffin (Jean) of TN; a very special nephew, Randy Hill (Teresa) of Fremont; a special niece Debra West (Stan) of Fremont.
Babe is preceded in death by two sisters, Anna Rose Speight and Glenda Ann Taylor.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, January 24, 2015 at 6 p.m. from the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro. The family will receive friends following the service and other times at the residence. A graveside service will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Elmwood Cemetery in Fremont.
