On Monday, April 24, 2006, God in His infinite wisdom and His divine love, called out of our midst our loving to his eternal home and granted him peace and serenity.

Brian Rasool Hodges, known as "Pebo," son of Daniel and Nancy Hodges, was born on August 24, 1985 in Newark, New Jersey.

Brian was raised in Newark. He attended South 17th Street School, Science High and graduated from West Side. He was a hard worker and was a soft spoken young man who always had a smile on his face when he was approached. Friends could always count on Brian. He was always willing to help others
when and where he could.

Brian considered himself a
"Ladies Man" and the ladies agreed. Brian was a proud, independent, resourceful and strong young man. He was truly loved and will be eternally missed.

Brian leaves to mourn and cherish his memory: his son, Brian Hodges Jr.; his father and mother, Daniel and Nancy Hodges; one sister, Lovie Willene Hodges; two brothers, Danny Ketchen and Daniel Hodges Jr.; his loving grandmother, Johnnie Wheeler; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and many near and dear friends, especially the mother of his child, Nicole Lee.

Miss Me But Let Me Go
When I come to the end of the
road and the sun has set for me,
I want no rites in a gloom filled room,
Why cry for a soul set free?
Miss me a little-but not too long, and not
with your head bowed low.
Remember the love that we once shared,
Miss me but let me go. for this is a journey that we all must take
and each and every one of us must go alone. It's all part of the Master's plan, a step on the road to home. When you are lonely and sick at heart, go to the friends we know,
And bury your sorrow in doing good deeds
Miss me, but let me go.
