Ada Marie Stevens age 71, a resident of Woodstock passed away Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at Consulate Health Care of Woodstock, VA.
A funeral service for Mrs. Stevens will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, January 24, 2015 at Stover Memorial Chapel with Pastor Brian Patrick officiating. Entombment will follow at Panorama Memorial Gardens, Warren County.
She was born on July 24, 1943 in Lucedale, MS a daughter of the late John and Mildred Mizell. Marie was a member of the Church of Nazarene, Newell, WV. She and her husband Jimmy were the former owners and operators of Flip Dizzy’s in Manassas, VA. Marie will be remembered for her gentle spirit, joyful personality and warm hugs. She had a strong, loving heart and was loved by all who knew her. Marie enjoyed quality time with her family the most.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Jimmy E. Stevens; a grandson, Ryan Stevens; three sisters and two brothers.
Marie is survived by her children, Sharon Stevens-Stoffel and husband Kyle of Winchester, VA, Stanton Stevens and wife Anita of Woodstock, VA, and Mark Stevens and wife D’Lena Stevens of Manassas, VA; her grandchildren, Jessica Godwin, Christina Stevens, Nicole Ennis, Drew Stevens, Brittany Vojitas, Stefani Stevens, and Tyler Stevens; 14 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews.
The family will receive friends at Stover Funeral Home on Friday evening from 6-8 P.M.
