Marty Pratt passed away on December 23, 2014 at the VA Hospital in Salt Lake City after a brief illness.

He was born to Lorus (Sonny) and Virginia on July 25, 1953 in Salt Lake City, the fifth of ten children.

Marty attended school in Salt Lake City. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corp with tours of duty in both Vietnam and Okinawa.

He enjoyed working with his hands doing many woodworking and carpentry projects. He was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone that needed his help. Marty spend countless hours volunteering at the VA Hospital.

He is survived by two sisters and five brothers, Joslyne (Rob) Hanson, Jacqueline (Frank) Roberts, Mathew (Brenda), Monty (Melanie), Morris (Cherri), Malyn (Diane), and Mitchell (Renee). He also has several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, and two brothers, Mark and Mickey.

Funeral services will be held at Redwood Memorial Estates, 6500 South Redwood Road (1700 West), on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. There will be a viewing held one hour prior to the services.
Interment will be in the Redwood Memorial Estates Cemetery.
