William Hansel Brown , 74, of Woodbury, died November 11th at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta.
Funeral services were held November 13th at Cove Baptist Church with Rev. C.I. “Red” Roberson officiating, assisted by Rev, Lamar Ledford. Burial was at Meriwether Memorial Gardens.
Serving as pallbearers were Larry Brown, Lamar Brown, Brad Walden, Terry Ledford, Travis Owens, Ali Pardehpoush, and Sandy Brown. Honorary pallbearers were Bobby Melton, Pete Melton, Albert Alverson, and Wendell Brown.
Mr. Brown was born July 29, 1928 in Meriwether County, son of the late John William and Beatrice Flora Gibson Brown. He was a plumber and a member of Cove Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Annie Ruth Ledford Brown of Woodbury; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Randy H. and Joni Brown and James Avery Brown, all of Woodbury; one daughter and son-in-law, Opal Diane and Frank Armstrong, also of Woodbury: one sister, Shirley Owens of Woodbury; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren,
Smith-Steele-Meadows Funeral Home of Woodbury was in charge of arrangements.
