Mrs. Elma Johnson, 87, resident of Seal Beach, Calif., formerly of Evansville, died Friday, April 2 at Seal Beach. The funeral was held April 8th, Thursday, at 2 p.m. at the Faith Lutheran Church in Evansville with the Rev. Marvin Moll officiating. Burial will be in the Mound Grove Cemetery.
Mrs. Darrel Nitz was organist, and Earl Erickson soloist. Pall bearers were Lloyd Sletto, Lyle Sanstead, Aloyis Fjoslien, David Fjoslien, Norman Davidson, Waldemar Davidson.
The daughter of Nils and Hendricksa Christensen, she was born November 6th, 1888 at Evansville. She was united in marriage to Joseph Johnson on December 10, 1913. They lived in Grant, and Douglas County until 1942, when they moved to Salt Lake City. The last 16 years she has lived in Seal Beach. Surviving are a daughter: Mrs. Jack (Jeannette) Mosier, of Seal Beach, a son Orlando of Salt Lake City, 8 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 2 sisters, Mrs. Stella Cole, of Sauk Centre. And Mrs. Cecil Ida Swift of Mayville, N.D. She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, Milan, and grandson, two sisters, and four brothers.
