She was born October 6, 1939 in Wichita, KS the daughter of Lowell and Irene
(Parmenter) Slusser.
On August 11, 1956 she was united in marriage to Stanley Vanderford in
Wichita; he preceded her in death on October 11, 1987.
Martha was a housekeeper for Medicalodge in Columbus, KS and Wichita for
25 years.
She was a member of the Red Hat Society at Carrington Place.
Survivors include two daughters: Michelle Vanderford of Girard, KS and
Theresa Toves of Denver, CO; a son Cornelius Vanderford of St. Croix, Virgin
Islands, a sister Mary Gillard, two brothers: David and John Slusser all of
Wichita; eight grandchildren: Jeffrey and Justin Stone, Jennifer Hawkinson,
Nicole, Jacob, Joel and Chloe Vanderford, Sophia and Joseph Toves along with
several great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a sister Nina Rollins, a
brother Frank Slusser.
Graveside services will be 2pm, Saturday, January 24, 2015 at the Garden of
Memories Cemetery with Linda Coleman officiating. The family will receive
friends one hour before service time at the funeral home from 1pm Saturday
until the procession leaves for the cemetery. Friends may also call at the
funeral home after 10 am Sat. to sign the register. Condolences may be left at

Sarcoidosis Research; these may be left at or mailed to the funeral home.
