Theresa H. Simmons, 83, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012, at her residence in St. Charles. She was born Sept. 30, 1929, in Chicago, the daughter of Bruno and Margaret (nee Kozinski) Ewert. She was united in marriage to Richard Devoe Simmons on July 23, 1947 [sic, recte 1948], in Chicago.
She is survived by her daughters, Pamela G. Hendricks of St. Charles, Jeanne M. Hendricks of Geneva, and Jacquelyn J. Hindi of Sugar Grove; a son-in-law, George F. Hendricks of Geneva; her grandchildren, Matthew D. Hendricks, Meghan T. (Michael) Anfang, Ashley M. Hendricks, Allison J. Hendricks, and Eva E. Hindi; a sister, Yvonne Murphy; and a brother, Richard Ewert.
In addition to her parents, Theresa was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard; and a brother, Donald Ewert.
The visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9, at Moss-Norris Funeral Home, 100 S. Third St. (three blocks west of the river and one block south of Route 64) in St. Charles.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10, at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Glen Oak Cemetery in West Chicago.
