He was born in Jackson, GA (Butts Co.), served during WWII as a Captain in the 30th Infantry Div. Quartermasters Corp., worked for Pure Oil Co., Union 76, and Sears, Roebuck Co, prior to retirement. Predeceased by granddaughters, Kassandra Kimbell and Priscilla Kimbell; sister, Martell Owen; brother, Marvin O. Kimbell. Survived by wife of 61 years, Velma O. (Johnnie)Johnson Kimbell; children: Jim (Nancy) Kimbell, Ron (Carol) Kimbell, Barbara (Charles) Rudell; 5 gch; 1 ggson; niece, Rosalind Washington; nephew, Bill Owen.
