Ann Shaw Williamson, 80, of Hickory, NC, passed away on October 1, 2014, at Frye Regional Medical Center. Born March 27, 1934 in Marion County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Leslie Mortimer Shaw and Virginia Estelle Cameron Shaw.
Ann graduated from Winyah High School in Georgetown, SC and attended Coker College in Hartsville, SC. She worked many years in substance abuse counseling in St. Petersburg, FL. She was an active member of Highland Baptist Church and the Joymakers senior adult choir. She had a true servants heart and was a wonderful sister, mother and grandmother.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, Leo C. "Pat" Williamson.

Ann is survived by her daughter, Joan Parsons Ray and husband Kim of Birmingham, AL; sons, N. David Parsons and wife Paula of Hickory and Phillip M. Parsons and wife Karen of LaPlata, MD; sister, Mary Leslie Hall of Columbia, SC; eighteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 4, 2014 at Highland Baptist Church with Rev. Jesse Lott officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:15 a.m. prior to the service.
