Mrs. Mary Orlee Allen, 37, Elmo, MO died Saturay morning at a hospital in Kansas City, Kansas following a 3 week illness. She had been a patient at the hospital 3 days.
Mrs. Allen was born Nov 28, 1918 at Blanchard, Iowa, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Kerns. She was married Dec 6, 1938 at Skidmore, MO to Davie William Allen, who survives.
Mrs. Allen was a member of the Christian Church. Survivors include her husband, and an 18 month old daughter, Nancy Lee, of the home; Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Kerns of Elmo, MO; nine
brothers: Wilbur, Ted, Robert, Woodrow, Guy, and Kenneth Kerns, all of Elmo, MO, Sanford Kerns of Burlington Junction; William Kerns, Lake City, Kansas; and Albert Kerns Jr. of Kansas City; six sisters:
Mrs. Harley Brownfield, Blanchard, IA; Mrs. William Vore, Hopkins, Miss Susan Kerns, Elmo, MO; Mrs. Jack Hainline, Ash Grove; and Mrs. Merle Shipley and Mrs. Charles Whitaker, both of Kansas City.
Funeral Services wereheld at 2 pm today at the Elmo Christian Church, and burial was in the Elmo Cemetery
