My great aunt wrote a cover letter for the letter of her daughter, age 14, to my grandmother Luella when my mother, Margaret, was a baby. It was from their address in San Antonio to Juneau, Alaska while my grandfather was working as a miner in the huge gold mine. They did not know my mother's name but knew she was a girl. The letters has survived and I have them.
She was a court stenographer and court reporter. I think her first husband was Henry Knapp perhaps born in New York in 1880 and died about 1908 in Fort Worth. They had a child Charlie Claire Knapp born in 1906.
She was married again by the 1940 census to L. A. Adamson.
