He is the fifth son of Toombs and Annie Elizabeth Spearman.
On June 3rd, 1903, he was happily married to Miss Tempie Knox, of Social Circle, and two children have blessed their home, George Knox Spearman, and Ruth Elizabeth Spearman.
At the annual meeting of the Alabama Pharmaceutical Association he was elected President.
He organized a Chapter of the Eastern Star in Anniston, and as compliment to him the members unanimously named said Chapter in honor of his sainted mother. He served Elizabeth Spearman Chapter No. 81 as Worthy Patron in 1909-1910 and 1911-1912.
He served the Grand Chapter, O. E. S., as Grand Patron during the year 1915-1916.
He was a member of the Anniston Rotary Club and Director in the Commercial National Bank as well as Director in the Anniston Chamber of Commerce. He was a member of the Methodist Church.
