Ava Marie Worthen-Carter, 82, of Prattsville, passed away on July 27, 2003 in Baptist Medical Center at Little Rock.
She was born on January 18, 1921 in Cedar Branch, Arkansas.
Ava attended school at Paxton. She was a member of Harmony Missionary Baptist Church at Prattsville and attended the Martha and Mary Sunday School Class. She married James Alken Carter on November 22, 1939, at Prattsville and he preceded her in death on April 6, 1992.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Martin Worthen and Era Kelley Worthen.
Ava is survived by her four sons: Jimmy Carter of Prattsville, Edwin Carter of Prattsville, Bob Carter of Sheridan, and Larry Carter of Tulsa, OK; six grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.
