Service is 10:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 23, at White's Funeral Home, 101 N.E. 4th Ave., Mineral Wells, 76067. Interment will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Mineral Wells. Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Thursday at White's Funeral Home in Mineral Wells.
Connie was born Sept. 14, 1954, in Mineral Wells to Clyde and Flora Smith. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved to sew and was an amazing cook. She had a passion for teaching children in Sunday School and taught at many churches in Mineral Wells area. But what Connie loved most was her family. She dedicated her life to taking care of her family and her animals. She will be greatly missed.
Survivors include her husband, Patrick Glover; daughters, Christy Ruth Owens McCray and husband Shannon, Melinda Dee Horton and wife Terry, and Rikkie Jo Horton; son-in-law,John Mark Harrison; grandchildren, Heather Streun and husband Preston, Thomas Harrison and wife Eneeke, Garion Moreno, Nickolas Horton, Mikeulyn Ruggles, Ty McCray, Heaven Rogers,Gabriel Horton and Raylee Cate; Great-grandchildren, Paislee Streun, McKennon Harrison and Stellan Harrison; Father, Clyde Smith and wife Cheryl; siblings, Buddy Smith and wife Carolyn, Gail Joslin and husband Ray, Lola Gray and husband Steve, Karen Brown and husband Johnny, and Marian Threatt and husband Randy; sisters-in-law, Lesa Barber and Dena Harwell; many nieces and nephews; and other family members and friends.
Connie was preceded in death by her husband, Weldon Richard "Ricky" Horton; son Cody Glenn Owens; sister Sheila Dianne; and mother , Flora Merlene Thompson Smith.
