Mrs. John W. Crego, Fort Myers, FL, passed away on Jan. 11, 2008. Mary Crego was born in Utica, NY, Jan 18, 1917, the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Richard G. Kibbey, formerly of New Hartford. She attended Vassar College, Class of 1938 and also studied at Heidelberg University, Germany. During World War II, Mary was a volunteer Gray Lady at Faxton Hospital. Her first employment position was an Administrative Secretary for the Alumni at Utica College. Later she taught fifth grade at St Paul's School, Whitesboro, NY, for several years. Her last position was as an Executive Secretary in the Administration Office of the Masonic Home for sixteen years. Since retiring in 1986, she has done volunteer work at the Martin Luther Nursing Home, St. Lukes Hospital and the Masonic Home. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and more recently at the Our Saviour Lutheran Church. Mary, married Attorney John W. Crego in 1986, was previouly married to the late Raymond B. Stefano, and to the late Carl Kirby, Herkimer, NY. She is survived by her husband and four children Maria Kriznuski of Lincoln University, PA; Claudia Stefano, Upland, CA; Raymond K. Stefano and Benjamin J. Stefano, both residing in Fort Myers, FL; two stepsons: Frank T. Crego, Rochester, NY; and the Reverend Doctor Peter J. Crego, Seneca Falls, NY. She also leaves twelve grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. Mary was predeceased by a son, Glenn Stefano, a sister, Helen Kibbey, and a brother, Richard G. Kibbey, M.D.
