Rose L. Redmon, 87, of Carlyle, Ill., formerly of Fairview Heights, Ill., born January 12, 1928, in East St. Louis, Ill., died Sunday, January 18, 2015, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Breese, Ill.In the late '40s, Rose owned and operated Roseanne's Beauty Shop in East St. Louis, Ill., for many years. She later was a bus driver, and was a collector of many things. She enjoyed gardening, visiting with neighbors, crafts, especially sewing, knitting, and wood crafts. Rose also loved cooking and baking. Mrs. Redmon was a member of the Wood Carvers Club, the Alton Boat Club, and the Swansea Moose Lodge. Mrs. Redmon was preceded in death by her husband, V. Noble Redmon, Jr. Nov. 24, 1954, at Signal Hill Methodist Church, and who preceded her in death on Jan. 28, 2007; her parents, Anton Karl and Avelina A. "Silvinia", nee Viner, Grahmann; and a brother, Charles Robert Grahmann. Surviving are a daughter, Ruthann Redmon of Carlyle, Ill.; a son, Noble Redmon and wife Jane of Carterville, Ill.; two grandchildren, Bridget Redmon of Oregon and Nobie Redmon of California; and 10 grand lambs. She is also survived by her in-laws - Rita Grahmann of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Virginia Brown and husband Edward of Shiloh, Ill., and many nieces and nephews.
