Howard D. Hughes “Mickie”, passed Tuesday April 14, 2020; of Capitan, New Mexico where he lived for 34 years. B

Born on August 31, 1932 in Wheeler County, Nebraska. Howard was the last surviving child of John D. and Amanda Royer Hughes.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Lynn Ellen, and his wife of 59 years, Patricia E. Branson Hughes.

Howard is survived by daughter Pati M. Cillessen and her husband Edwin F. Cillessen and their son’s, Edwin Duane & wife Erin and great grandson Caleb Cillessen and Dale Evan & wife Ashlee and great grandchildren Dean and Claire Cillessen, daughter Chandra E. Ankeny and her husband Michael C. Ankeny; and his companion of many years Barbara Brusuelas as well as many nieces and nephews.

Howard served in Army during the Korean War as a Radio Technician, loved to fly his Cessna airplane and was a General Contractor before retiring.

Family graveside service was held at Sunset Memorial Park in Albuquerque.
