Timothy died of injuries received in an automobile accident that occurred at about 1:23 a.m. on March 5, 1996, on Old Route 13 just east of Pump House Road. He was returning home from work at Murdale McDonald's in Carbondale.

Timothy Michael Evans, 17, died at 4:50 a.m., Wednesday, March 6, 1996, in St. Louis University Hospital.

He was born on November 22, 1978, in Carbondale.

Survivors include his mother and step-father, Alice and Jim Rains of Murphysboro; his father, Ross Wayne Evans of Murphysboro; four sisters, Mary Barringer of Dallas, Texas, Phyllis Barringer-Byrd of San Antonio, Texas, Barbara Robinson of Murphysboro, and Sheila Kay Evans of Fulton, Mississippi; one brother, Shawn Wayne Evans of Tupelo, Mississippi; one step-sister, Tanya Rains.

Burial in the Boucher Cemetery.
