THE HAND OF DEATH

DeHaan

Mrs. H. DeHaan died at Mercy Hospital, Des Moines, at 7 p. m. Friday August 18, 1916, aged 81 years. Mrs. DeHaan suffered a fall In her home in Des Moines a few weeks ago in which her hip was broken. Reports from time to time since then indicated that she was getting along all right, but the injury was too much for one of her age. Mrs. DeHaan was long a resident of Pella, but moved to Des Moines some years ago. She is survived by five daughters and one son The body was brought to Pella for burial, funeral services being held at the home of Chas. Slpkema at 2 p. m Monday, August 21. Interment was at Oakwood cemetery.
